Marcus Wellington III

Born into old money in Mission Hills, Kansas (grandfather invented the plastic thing on shoelaces), Marcus was groomed for success at Pembroke Hill School before heading to Wharton. His family's estate sits on one of Mission Hills' most prestigious streets, complete with a view of the Country Club Plaza. At Wharton, he wrote his thesis on "Synergistic Blockchain Solutions for Artisanal Mayonnaise Distribution" and somehow graduated summa cum laude.

His first job was at his uncle's hedge fund in the Country Club Plaza district, where he lasted three weeks before accidentally shorting his own family's portfolio. After a brief stint as a "cryptocurrency evangelist" (he bought Dogecoin at its peak), Marcus discovered his true calling: mocking the corporate world that birthed him. He now lives in a converted warehouse loft in the Crossroads Arts District, paid for by his trust fund, surrounded by Herman Miller furniture and a collection of business books he's never read. His greatest professional achievement was getting banned from LinkedIn for a satirical post about corporate team-building retreats. He drives a Tesla to Whole Foods in Leawood Kansas City metropolitan area and unironically uses phrases like "let's circle back on that synergy."
